Zuiderzee Museum

See, hear, feel, taste and smell the daily life around the Zuiderzee, before the Afsluitdijk in 1932 transformed the Zuiderzee into the IJsselmeer. The Zuiderzee Museum focuses on the history, current affairs and future of the area. The themes of water, craft and communities are central. This story is made visible in the outdoor museum with historical buildings and the indoor museum with thematic exhibitions.
