At Wieringen you will be staying on a sturdy mountain. The Secret Wadden Island Wieringen is a rock in the sea formed of moraines. The island was created simultaneously with Texel in one of the ice ages. Moving in the rolling landscape surrounded by the Wadden Sea, Amstelmeer and IJsselmeer, you can experience this special feeling yourself.

Since the construction of the Amsteldiepdijk, Afsluitdijk and the Zuiderzeepolder the Wieringermeer, Wieringen is officially no longer an island. But, if you visit Wieringen you are a guest on Wieringen. The island feeling is still alive here.
